We have no excuse for not knowing the origin...

When I wake up in the morning I see the sun, hear the birds, and see the wonder of nature. First, back up, I woke up. That in itself is a miracle. How? How did I see another day? Well, there is the scientific view. I have one problem with scientific rebuttal to the unanswerable. Wherever you go or whatever you believe has to have an origin. The origin, in my heart, undoubtedly is God. I have taken many classes throughout my educational career and have asked many questions. Mainly, "Where did that come from?" or "Where did that start?" or "How did that get here?" It all leads me to the same questions. Everything has to have an origin and the origin is clear in the Word of God. Romans 1:20 (New Living Translation)For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. With that being said, t…

NEVER SNATCHED, BUT ARE YOU PULLED?

Image
All of us have been there... We may say to God, "I know I suppose to trust you for everything and you have my back. I know that you are who you say you are. Still.. I am a little shaky with my confidence in myself." That was my personal testimony. There is no way I can ever be perfect. Once I got saved the enemy kept at me. Aren't you supposed to be safe after you get saved? Yes... but we still live in this earth so we will be tried. Now, one thing is for sure. We will never be perfect until we see immortality. However, we are protected and given a divine guarantee that we will be alright. We can trust in the validity of Jesus and what he came to do... He has given us eternal life if we truly love him and believe in him. The Word says we will never be lost! No one can snatch us out of the hand of God. When someone snatches something they seize it by a sudden or hasty grasp. Now, this is a quick action. Christ didn't say you can't be pulled away. Pulling takes time…

BELIEVE + CONFESS = FULL SALVATION

This is heavy in my spirit ...and it is probably the reason why I am posting so much on it - the simplicity of receiving this salvation. People don't really understand salvation. They say, "I would get saved but..." They say that like they have to add something to salvation. Salvation, being saved from hell and eternal damnation, basically comes in two parts. 1. Believing Believe that Jesus came down to earth, died for you to pay your sin debt, and rose again to give you the power over death. Because of his sacrifice you are covered under the blood. Love him for what you believe. There is no way we could have made things right. Thank God for coming down and making things right for you. Believe, in other words, have confidence in the truth, the existence, and the reliability of Jesus, although you have not seen him with your physical eye... YET. 2. Confess I like to say, "You are not saved until someone knows you're saved." Sometimes people say to me, "Q, t…

I AM "BEING" SAVED - MY ALTAR CALL EXPERIENCE

Image
I made a big step last Sunday. I, yes the spiritual blogger, walked up to the altar and told God to forgive me of my sin. What??? Yes! Me! Now, I could have sat in my seat and put my pride on display but I did not. Now, sin is defined as any reprehensible or regrettable action, behavior, lapse, etc.; great fault or offense: It's a sin to waste time. Heads up! It's a sin to waste emotion. That's why I walked up to the altar Sunday. I was angry with some people. I had a hard time forgiving them. They said something I did not like. They did something I did not like. I wasted anger and bitterness - not traits of God. I stayed at home beating up on myself. "I can't do it!" I couldn't get over my emotions. Then I was mad that I was mad. It was not worth that emotion. I had a regrettable action or behavior - a relapse. Instead of waddling in my emotions I realized the truth - I'm human. I understood this truth in 1 Corinthians: I Corinthians 1:18 (NIV) For the me…

THE GREAT COMMISSION and MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

THE GREAT COMMISSION AND MULTIPLE SCLEROSISMatthew 28:18-20 (New Life Version)New Life Version (NLV)Copyright © 1969 by Christian Literature International
18 Jesus came and said to them, "All power has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go and make followers of all the nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach them to do all the things I have told you. And I am with you always, even to the end of the world." When the Lord first placed Nomoresclerosis.com in my spirit I was hesitant. I did not want to write publicly and tell the things I was dealing with - whether it be in my body or my spirit. I did not feel the need to share my experiences with others. Multiple Sclerosis was formerly known as disseminated sclerosis. God has given me the common sense to look things up. The dictionary and the Lexicon have become my best friends. I looked up disseminated and some may remember my previous post on the word. Dissimenat…

I GOTTA GET RIGHT BEFORE I GET SAVED

Image
I have said it myself, "I got some things to clean up before I get totally right with God. Before I give my life to God I have to do some things."

This mentality has hendered alot of us from finding out the joy of salvation. My father used to always say, "You have to catch the fish before you clean him." Don't expect to come to God with everything fixed. Do you say to yourself when you are sick, "I have to break this fever before I go to the doctor." How crazy does that sound? That's the reason you're going to the doctor, you're sick. You have tried all you can do to break the fever but you're still sick. It's time for a doctor's appointment so he can help. He has the experience to get me well.

Spiritually speaking, I have taken alot of soul "aspirin" or "pain reliever".
That type of medicine may diminish the symptoms but what caused you to be sick is probably still there. I used spiritual aspirin such as alcoh…

WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPRESS THEM?

Image
"There is no way I could ever be like them! I just can't deal with all this!" THEM: The elite church crowd. READ THIS: Galatians 2:19-21 (The Message)The Message (MSG) Copyright © 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson
What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work. So I quit being a "law man" so that I could be God's man. Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, p…

REITERATING THE KING'S DREAM

Image
Photo by blackpast.org Click here to read about honoring MLK's contributions to civil rights. HONORING THE LIFE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. ON THE 40TH ASSASSINATION ANNIVERSARY It's so much more than a "black" thing. It's a peace thing. Anyone, nomatter where your geographical location, race, or culture knows a thing or two about Dr. Martin Luther King. Today, April 4th 2008 we honor his life and his dedication to peace. He sought peace in a time of turmoil. He reached for what seemed impossible when the nation was seemingly stubborn to do so. What inspires me so much about Dr. King is the way he sought this peace. He didn't endorse violence. Even though African Americans were being beat, jailed, and violated in so many ways he still promoted nonviolence. HE REITERATED THE KING OF KING'S DREAM He was a Reverend so I am sure his faith had a lot to do with this approach. Think of Jesus when he came down here to offer the gift of salvation. More precisely, look a…

FAITH LIKE JESUS

FAITH LIKE JESUS Hebrews 12:2 (King James Version)
2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Look unto Jesus. Greek word for look in the text is aphoraô. It simply means to to turn the eyes away from other things and fix them on something. In this life it is easy to focus on things that are presently against or amongst us. We get caught up in what's important to our reality - what we are facing. The Word tells us to turn our eyes away from those things and fix them on Jesus. Why? He is the author of our faith. Meaning he is the one that takes the lead in our faith and afforded us the example to have this kind of faith. The Greek word is archçgos. He taught us about faith. He led the way and is a perfect example of a faith walk. Jesus is also the finisher of our faith. The Greek word for finisher is teleiotes - a perfector. When somet…
